Warning:

Watch out for a person in Aurora by the name of Tom Ball calls himself
" The "Handyman"
While supposedly fixing a sagging fence for one neighbour, he trespassed on the adjoining neighbours property and without knowledge or consent he erected rough, crooked posts on spikes and attached the old fence to them. leaving an ugly mess on the unsuspecting neighbours property. Then, when asked to simply move his mess to the side that he was hired to do in the first place, he became rude and abusive and wanted to be paid his excessive fee a second time.
Watch Out! and be wary of hiring this man!

Does your home have Aluminum Wiring
Acquiring insurance on homes with aluminium  wiring may require a specific certificate stating that the Aluminium wiring has been inspected by a qualified
electrical inspector. This certificate may have to be ordered and paid for by the owner (seller) of the home. This eventually  may be a requirement on renewal of home owner’s policies as well.

Community Warning
Warning from U of G. If you use mulch. if you use mulch around your house , be very careful about buying it this year. After the Hurricane in New Orleans many trees were blown over. These trees were then turned into mulch and thestate is trying to get rid of tons of this mulch to any state or company will come and haul it away. So it will be showing up in major centres at dirt cheap prices with one huge problem.
Formosan Termites will be the bonus in many of those bags.  New Orleans is oneof the few areas  in the country where Formosan Termites has gotten a strong hold and most of the trees blown down were already baddly infested.. Now we may have the worst case of transportin a problem to all parts of the country. These termites can eat a house in no time and wehave no control against them..
So... spread the word about avoiding cheap mulch and finding out where it came from.
